I was recently involved with the Virgin Media STEM event STEMtastic Day at Virgin Money. We created a website for the students to build in 20 minutes. They were given a laptop with a broken website, instructions on how to fix it and an example of what the finished website should look like.

It was such a rewarding experience and I was very pleased to receive positive comments from the students. “I liked the coding group, we made a website about housing in 20 minutes. I’m thinking about doing Computer Science for GCSE”. I feel proud to have gotten some young students interested in HTML/CSS. I think they liked the task as it was interactive and they were able see changes each time they refreshed their browser - Article on Virgin Money
